Family Night at the UBC

It’s a night of free, family fun in and around the Utah House.
Energy Fair
The Utah Botanical Center is hosting a free Energy Fair. Stop losing money through energy inefficiency in your home! There will be a variety of vendors provding information on solar lighting, solar electricity generation, and solar water heating. Representatives from Questar Gas and Rocky Mountain Power will be on hand to provide information on credits and rebates that they are offering for energy efficiency upgrades to your home. Free snacks and drinks will be provided.

FREE CLASS: Flower Bed Design
Discover the art of design. Dorinda Jones (Garden Manager-the Ogden Botanical Garden) will reveal the secrets in creating astounding annual flower bed displays. Participants will learn for themselves how to use colorful combinations and where to place that perfect plant for pizazz.

WORKSHOP: Creating a Hanging Basket ($35.00 for non-members - $25.00 for members)
Whether the goal is to escape the ramifications of a poorly chosen Mother's Day gift, or you are simply in search of that perfect patio planter, this class is for you. Come get you hands dirty during this hands-on demonstration. Learn the three rules of creating a beautiful basket. Each participant will receive a 14" hanging basket planted and personalized by you.
